📝 Guide for Overseas Users: Register Alipay & WeChat Pay

This guide is for overseas users who want to donate via our Afdian page.

Prerequisites

• A valid passport
• A mobile number that can receive international SMS verification codes
• A supported international bank card (Visa / Mastercard / JCB / Discover)

Alipay Steps

1. Download the official Alipay App from App Store / Google Play. Do NOT install third-party modified versions.
2. Open Alipay, tap Sign up. Select your country/region code for your phone number.
3. Input your mobile number, get and fill in the SMS verification code.
4. Set your login password and 6-digit payment password.
5. Go to Me → Settings → Identity Verification, select non-mainland resident, upload your passport and finish face verification.
6. After verification, go to Bank Cards to add your international credit/debit card.
7. Once everything is ready, you can go back to our Afdian link to finish the donation.

WeChat Pay Steps

1. Download the official WeChat App from App Store / Google Play. Do NOT install third-party modified versions.
2. Open WeChat, tap Sign up. Choose your country/region code, enter your mobile number.
3. Submit the SMS verification code you received.
4. Set your WeChat login password and nickname.
5. Go to Me → Services → Wallet → Identity Verification, choose non-mainland resident, upload your passport and complete facial verification.
6. Bind your supported international bank card after verification.
7. You can then use WeChat Pay for the donation on Afdian.

Important Notes

• Both Alipay and WeChat Pay support international cards for payment, but we cannot receive funds from overseas platforms directly. This is why we only accept Afdian.
• If you fail to receive SMS codes, please check whether your carrier blocks international SMS.
• Limits will apply if you do not complete passport identity verification.
